The TPE331 AiResearch is a turbo engine originally designed by Garrett AiResearch and now produced by Honeywell Aerospace.

This engine has been designed, from 1961, as a gas turbine (known as the "331"). The design was prepared to be built in two versions: Turbo Hub TS331 and Turbo Prop TPE 331. The TS331 model was only used in few Sikorsky helicopters. The TPE331 was first manufactured in 1963 and had sales rise in the late 1973 (over 700 units). Today, sales have climbed to 14,000. This engine began to be better known in Argentina and the region when, in 1973, the Rockwell Aero Commander (equipped with TPE331 since 1964), the Rockwell Turbo Commander (equipped with TPE331 since 1965) and other aircrafts equipped with TPE331 entered the market.
